District 3141 - District Governor - Shashikumar Sharma
Shashi born & brought up in Mumbai. Family involved in running successful textile business in Mumbai. He has shown signs of amazing aptitude for studies, spirit of games and the value of money through service. Passed Master in Science with distinction from University of Bombay. Completed Masters in Management from Jamnalal Bajaj institute of Management and further finished diploma in Administrative Management from Bajaj institute.

He joined the TATA group, one of the leading Corporate House. He rose to become one of the members of Top Management. He was responsible for helping the firm and its business to understand the competitive landscape and the markets in which they operate while developing sustainable plans for long term Growth & Success.

He was the President of the Printing Industry of India having 250000 printers. Printing Industry ranked the 5th largest industry of the world. Currently successful running printing & export house.

Joined Rotary in 1993 & his ongoing involvement in RYE, Senior citizen, vocational service, medical & non medical service adjudged him as best Rotarian & best Director. As president in 2001 he added 55 members making it the highest in membership growth. Club was 2nd in per Capita annual programs fund giving & 3rd in the district in annual programs fund giving & finally No 1 club of the district and recipient of Super achiever award. He was involved in polio eradication program & has been organizing medical camps for the police department & Senior citizens since last 20 years.

He has been successful in handling avenues like GSE, TRF & became no 1 district in India in foundation giving in 2003-2004, Vocational Service, Community Service, Service week - a great PR exercise through service. 200 million dollar thrust area for fund collection. Governor’s Special Aide for Membership & International service.

Administrative positions held - District Treasurer, Asst. Governor, District Secretary, Chief Coordinator, District training facilitator, GSR. Two-time nominating committee member.

Recipient of appreciation from all governors. 4 times recipient of the Rotary Foundation award. Addressed more than 100 clubs across district. Major Donor level 2.

He was the general secretary / President of Bombay Master Printers Association, was the Editor of Print-Vision & Printing Times. Chairman of Paper paperboard of All India Federation of Master printers. He then took over as the President of the same. Chairman- PAMEX - an international exhibition organised by AIFMP like DRUPA at Germany. Submitted papers on print at various International fora.

In his residential area he succeeded in reviving an ill kept garden as President of Walkers’ Club. It is regarded as one of the best gardens in K-west ward. He is volunteering for blind institute of industrial home for blind women welfare for last 30 years. President of the Chandan Yuvak Mandal looking after slum children providing path finding future and organizing Sarvjanik Ganpati festival. His Teach umbrella provides counselling, direction, motivation & support which finally resulted in a victorious outcome. He is involved with the medical center of the club serving 40000 patients every year.

Service projects by printing industry on 24th February every year on the occasion of Printer’s Day was inititated during Rtn. ShashiSharma’s Presidentship of the All India Federation of Master Printers.

He is happily married to Rita, who is running a successful fashion designing unit under the brand name “Neha Sharma”. TheSharmas have two daughters Manisha & Neha. Both of them are married into illustrious business families of Mumbai. Elderdaughter Manisha is married to Arif Chunnawala. They have 2 sons, named Arhan and Ayan. Younger daughter Neha is married toChirag Maru and they have one son named Kaveer.
